Valencia CF players market value

Valencia CF has some really talented players in its squad, but how much are they really worth?

This is a tough process because there are no measurable element, there is no mathematical formula to form the price of a player, its basically how much the club values its own player and at what price is the club willing to sell the player.

Tottenham bids 30 million for Soldado Roberto, bid rejected

Valencia CF reject a 30 million bid by Tottenham for Valencia CF striker Roberto Soldado. Tottenham is having striker deficiencies and Villas-Boas tried to get his reported favorite striker Roberto Soldado, with Tottenham biding 30 million euros for the transfer of Roberto Soldado to Tottenham.

Valencia CF president Manuel Llorente rejected the offer though and reiterated that Roberto Soldado is not for sale.

Official: Chori Dominguez signs with Rayo Vallecano

Its official, Chori Dominguez rescinded his contract with Valencia CF and signed for Rayo Vallecano. Chori has to pass the medical exams though to make it final.

AS I've reported earlier Chori wanted to get a chance this summer and fight for a place in the team and the new coach Pellegrino was willing to give him a chance until he talked to Braulio who made sure Chori isn't welcomed and it was probably the right decision.

He was a bad influence on the team when he was at Valencia CF and especially Banega, so just like Miguel, he is let go from the team for the same reasons.

Nelson Haedo Valdez join Valencia CF on loan

Nelson Haedo Valdez finally joins Valencia CF on a one year loan deal, after a lot of speculation around him. Valencia CF has a 2.5 million dollars purchase option at the end of the loan deal, though it is likely Valencia CF won't use the option unless Valdez by the luck of the straw has a really breakout season and does amazing.

Nelson Valdez joins Valencia CF from the Russian team Rubin Kazan who Valdez joined in 2011 and only scored 4 goals for them. He's also played for Paraguay 59 times and scored 12 goals. Overall he is not a great goalscorer and is not the tall type player either, so its not exactly what Valencia CF coach Mauricio Pellegrino wanted, but he will have to do.

We've also been linked with Nelson Valdez before, in fact 2 years ago and then 1 year ago, so I guess Braulio got his long time wish to bring him to Valencia CF.

The fact that he comes on a loan deal makes this move bearable and Valencia CF now has around 7 million euros to spend on a left back and it looks like its going to be Aly Cissokho from Lyon.

Chori Dominguez to go to Rayo Vallecano

Chori Domizguez is likely to continue his career in Rayo Vallecano after reaching personal agreement with them and is now negotiating the rescind of his contract, which Valencia CF want to be able not to pay damages to Chori, and he's likely to back down from his request of damages, since he knows there is no alternative than to basically stay at Valencia CF and not play or train with the rest of the team and waste one year.

Chori Dominguez had really bad relationship with Unai Emery and had some bad moments, but most importantly influenced Ever Banega in a bad way and was loaned out to River Plate, since the load ended and coming to Valencia CF he had an intent of getting on the good side of Pellegrino, but after a meeting Braulio and Pellegrino had it was decided he'd be a bad influence on the team and he was shut out of the team and allowed to train by himself.

But on to another topic I've set up a custom league at the Premier League fantasy league. Last year we had about 20 people join up, so I expect us to at least equal the numbers, certainly from the Euro 2012 custom league I set up we had I believe around 35 people join so I'm hoping to have at least 20 people join my new custom league. Please join and tell your friends, family co-workers and everyone you know to join. All you need to do is basically click the following link and you'll be automatically joined to my custom league. http://fantasy.premierleague.com/my-leagues/170044/join/?autojoin-code=671528-170044

Eintracht Frankfurt 4-2 Valencia CF

Valencia CF played its last match of the preseason and lost to Eintracht Frankfurt 4-2. Mauricio Pelegrino started with a weaker side, as he gave all the key players a rest and started with a completely different team than from the match against Tottenham.

With so much changes you can clearly see the results as Frankfurt started controlling the match and pressing Valencia CF in front of goal immediately. One would have hoped it was just starting warm up and Valencia CF would start dominating, but it wasn't going to happen as Frankfurt continued having possession and attacking, probing Valencia CF defense.

Frankfurt would have few chances to score, but the goal would fall after a cross from the left side and Aigner would head the ball into the goal. Just 2 minutes later Frankfurt would score a second goal as Diego Alves came out of goal to punch the ball, but the ball traveled low and Inui would volley the ball, only to fall to Occean who slotted past Diego Alves easily.

Valencia CF would score few minutes later as well, after a great one-two pass with Viera and Piatti, Viera released Piatti in front of goal and this one scored to put Valencia CF back into the game.

First half pretty much ended there, with both sides having no particular effect in attack till the whistle blew. The second half started with Valencia CF improved a little bit, keeping the ball more into possession and having few chances. This would pay off and as early as the 50th minute Pablo would score an equalizer after another great assist by Viera.

Unfortunately while the general play improved a little the defense didn't and in fact Valencia CF would recieve another goal in the 63rd minute after no one was found marking on the right side and Frankfurt players were able to combine and Occean to score again.

Today all of the defense sucked. I mean they could not have played worse, and Rami was miserable as well, you can say the young B team players lacked experience and stuff, but Rami was just as bad, if not worse and Barragan was too much forward, forgetting about his defensive duties and with no one to cover that side.

Little later Rami would be substitured with Quintanilla and 3 minutes of him coming in, Frankfurt would score again, again creating one more man in attack that wasn't marked by anyone and scoring.

I'm going to write player ratings for this match, to get ready for the new season and get in the groove of things, so bare with me this time.

Technical Details:
Eintracht Frankfurt (4): Trapp, Butscher, Demidov (Anderson, min. 46), Oczipka (Hoffer, min. 65), Inuim (Djakpa, min. 65), Occéan (Kittel, min. 65), Meier, Aigner (Kempf, min. 65), Rode (Lanig, min. 46), Jung y Schwegler (Kittel, min. 65).

Valencia CF (2): Alves, Rami (Quintanilla, min. 77), Albelda (Alcácer, min. 77), Piatti, Barragán, Viera (Portu, min. 68), Pablo H., Parejo, Bernat (Feghouli, min. 77), C. Delgado y Salva Ruiz.

Goals: 1-0, 19min Aigner; 2-0, 22min Occéan; 2-1, 26min Piatti; 2-2, 51min Pablo H; 3-2, 62min Occéan; 4-2, 80min Hoffer.

Player Ratings:
Diego 6 - Did everything he can, had few good saves, but was totally left down by the defense today.
Barragan 5 - Active in attack and was involved in few actions, but forgot his defensive duties and was no where to be found at the back in several of Frankfurt's attacks.
Rami 3 - Miserable performance. Made several mistakes, two big amateur mistakes and was directly responsible for one goal.
Delgado 3 - Just terrible performance, didn't know how to position and was involved with few mix ups with Salva Ruiz.
Salva 3 - Like the rest of the defense he did poorly, got outjumped for one of the goal, his marking was off and had few mix ups with Delgado for positioning.
Albelda 4 - Didn't quite see him play a lot, wasn't too good at covering for the defense either, he is old, but should have used his experience better.
Parejo 6 - Decent performance, was largely alone in trying to control the midfield and did what little he could.
Pablo 6 - Mixed performance, he did score a goal and had one good shot at goal, was involved in few other actions as well, but failed to exert his influence and failed to link up with the rest of the team.
Viera 8 - Amazing performance, great first touch, amazing vision and really good short passing. Provided two assists today and was largely involved in all of Valencia CF attacks.
Bernat 4 - Some nice dribbles here and there and showed off some technical skills, but where it matters he lacks  Didn't start, build-up or finish any actions, was too secure and didn't seem like he wanted to take any chances. Was missing for long periods of time.
Piatti 6 - Scored a goal and had good link-up play with Viera, not a striker, but he certainly showed he can play there possibly as an impact sub. Certainly a versatile players and did pretty good today.
Subs:
None played enough to be rated.

Valencia CF 2-0 Tottenham Hotspur FC

Valencia CF won 2-0 over Tottenham at the Mestalla. Pellegrino called this match a real test for Valencia CF and said he is taking it seriously and the team would show its strengths at this match.

The match started with Tottenham being in control of the ball possession and Valencia CF was on the defensive, but the team was organized and Tottenham failed to orchestrate a dangerous attack. In fact it was Valencia CF that came to scoring first with a great chance by Feghuoli, then Paco and then Jonas who got the ball, run downward avoiding 2 Tottenham players and shooting at goal. He wasn't lucky with his shot the first time, but only few minutes later Paco and Jonas would play a fast one-two and Jonas would shoot from long range and score.

It was a shock to Tottenham who realistically had a lot more ball possession and a lot more efforts in attack as they had few shots at goal and wide off goal. First a shot off goal through the middle of the field and then a good attack started by Assou-Ekotto from the right and Tottenham players were able to shoot twice at Diego Alves who saved the goal.

It was Jonas who was the most dangerous in the first half with most of the attacking moves coming from him, with Guardado being reserved defending and Feghuoli drifting in attack. Paco Alcacer did have two chances, one after a failed shot by Feghuoli(possibly a pass)and he missed the ball and a header.

The midfield lacked punch, it allowed Tottenham to dominate, but there was no surprise here as with Tino Costa starting you should expect that. Again I was really disappointed by Tino Costa, his play was really sloppy, really stiff, with no runs through the middle, no good passing range, he just failed to spread the ball in any shape or form.

In the second half we can see Fernando Gago took the playmaker responsibility and we were instantly and visibly better in the middle, but the statistics showed it as well, and I'm impressed with Gago in his overall play, although I still don't consider him a defensive midfielder, he is more of a playmaker than Tino will ever be and has better vision and higher passing range than Tino Costa and possibly even Parejo.

About the 70th minute Pellegrino made few changes with Piati coming in for Alcacer and Parejo for Jonas and instantly there was success. My stream was laggy and really blurred so I couldn't see who made the pass, but I believe it was either Piatti or Parejo who just moments after arrival passed the ball to Feghuoli who ran from his marker and scored the second goal for Valencia CF.

At this point seeing Villas-Boas face you could see he realized he made the wrong choice of club and was wishing he's chosen Valencia CF over Tottenham.

Then to make his play even more miserable Tino Costa went into huge argument with the referee and even though nothing happened, after the free kick Tino decided for some more confrontation at which point he got a red card, leaving Valencia CF to 10 players.

Tottenham would have a decent chance through Towsend as he shot towards goal, but ultimately inaccurately and Valencia CF were able to close out the match at 2-0 with actually few more chances till the end.

Technical details:
Valencia CF (2): Alves; J.Pereira, V.Ruiz, R.Costa, Mathieu (Barragán, min 87); T.Costa, Gago (Albelda, min 89); Feghouli, Jonas (Piatti, min. 75), Guardado (Pablo Hernández, min. 85); Alcácer (Parejo, min. 75).

Tottenham (0): Friedel; Walker (Naughton, min. 78), Gallas, Vertonghen, Assou-Ekotto; Jenas (Van der Vaart, min 62), Livermore (Carroll, min 88); Lennon, Sigurdsson (Kane, min. 81), Bale (Towsend, min. 78); Defoe.
